Terms of use
Take it, use it, build on it, at your own risk
X-WOW gives its designs, data and code away free. These terms say what that does and doesn't promise. They are short on purpose. A lawyer hasn't read them yet; if one finds something to fix, this page will change and say when.
As is
Everything on x-wow.com and in its downloads is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind: not that it is correct, complete, safe, fit for any purpose, or free of other people's rights. Most of it is design and theory that has never been built or tested by X-WOW, and each invention page says which parts are measured, simulated, predicted or untested.
Building is your choice and your risk
- If you build, change or use anything from this site, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for doing it safely and lawfully where you are.
- Builds are for adults. Where something could be tried by a child, the page names the adult's role, and an adult should stay in charge.
- Wet chemistry (for example SWELL's lab steps) is theory for properly equipped, supervised laboratories working under their own safety rules. Never try it at home, in a kitchen or in a classroom.
- Read the safety page and each invention's own hazard notes first.
Not advice
Nothing here is medical, diagnostic, legal, financial or investment advice. Nothing here is for diagnosing, treating or monitoring anyone's health.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, X-WOW and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or harm that comes from using the site, its downloads, or anything built from them. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Patents and other rights
X-WOW claims no rights over what it gives away (see licences and trade marks), but it can't promise that nobody else holds a patent or other right covering an idea or a part. Each invention's page says what we found. Check before you make anything to sell.
Changes, law and contact
- These terms may change; this page shows the date of the current version.
- They are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- Questions: info@x-wow.com.
